Qualification for Membership

In-house IP lawyers, in-house registered patent agents, IP teachers and those having a direct connection to the field of IP may apply for associate membership.

Privileges of Membership

An associate member may be invited to attend events of the association but shall not be entitled to vote, hold office, be a member of APAA or attend meetings of APAA.

Upon approval of membership, this information will appear on the Register

an in-house lawyer dealing with IP law in Singapore; or

an in-house patent agent registered under the Patents Act (Cap. 221) or an in-house patent attorney practising in Singapore; or

teaching IP law in a tertiary institution in Singapore; or

Otherwise connected directly in the field of IP law (subject to discretionary approval)
